Sick Day for J

It's a golden day outside - one of very few we've had lately. And the forecasters are predicting icy rain on Thursday. Anyway, J and I are inside. Sick day for J... All day.



We've been playing card games...


Reading his school novel...


Eating tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches...


And watching our favorite movie (Yes, he's a history buff like his mama)...


Both of us are hoping for a return to school tomorrow...

    Hope your little guy is feeling better soon. Truth be told, I sorta enjoyed those days when I could stay home and spend some unexpected time with my son.

    When my kids were little, I secretly loved a day that I could keep them home and pamper them and have them ALL of myself!! They loved it too, and there was more than one time that I wondered if they were really ill. They all turned out to be self assured responsible adults with a good work ethic so I guess it didn't hurt them any....and I have the wonderful memories!!!
