Viking in the House

This weekend was just what the doctor ordered. Lots of fun and festivities for the whole family: a family/neighborhood Halloween party Friday night, Fall Steeplechase all day Saturday, and our church's Fall Festival where we give out hundreds and hundreds of pounds of candy to families in our town. All four of us were kept extremely busy with wonderful friends whom have supported us these past few weeks with so much - including their unwavering prayers.

So many of you golden friends have messaged, emailed, commented, and Facebooked asking how we are doing. Although Mike is having to take this day by day, he wore his Viking warrior helmet at the Halloween soirée to show his strong side!

  4. My, Lord, Bevy, I just read your friend's guest blog from over the weekend. I am so very sorry for the many losses your family has endured. Please know that I'm thinking of you and glad that you're reentering the world of blogging. We have missed you, but totally understand the absence. I'll continue to send prayers your way.

So glad you had some fun time over the weekend to celebrate Halloween. I'm sure your boys are looking forward to it, as well as your students (not a very productive school day, is it?). Mike makes a great viking. :)

  5. I am glad you had some fun this weekend. When reading about what you have been going through the other day on your blog...it really made me STOP and think about how we need to savor every little moment. And not really the BIG things like trips and Christmas etc...but the tiny laughs and moments of love. It sounds like y'all were able to do just that this past weekend. You have y prayers.
