Thus, the dilemma arose every school year for me: the school t-shirt dilemma. Every Friday, we teachers are allowed to wear jeans - as long as we are wearing a C******** C***** Elementary t-shirt or a shirt that has the school name on it. (And those are usually those asexual non-preppy polo type shirts. Yuck.) I know this promotes school spirit, and I know that it is a little treat we are given. I just don't do t-shirts. And as much as I love, love, love my school, I just don't do t-shirts.
So what's a preppy teacher to do? Well, I came up with an amazing plan last year. (And my wonderful principal did approve it!) You see, I love a good monogram on a cute scoop neck Eddie Bauer or Tarjay tee. So... take a peek at what my monogram is every Friday!
Score one for preppy teachers everywhere!
(And a big smoochie for my BFF who did the monogramming...)

cute preppy score, I say!

ReplyDeleteLove it ~ can I borrow your idea?
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the t-shirts ~ just don't do them!
Jo
That is an ingenious idea! Good for you!
ReplyDeleteYou are Brillant! Hope you don't mind if we copy for our own schools. I'm not much of a collared shirt gal- the polos they order always look like something a coach would wear. I think coaches are great, but I am not one. I want to wear my fitted 3/4 sleeve tees from Talbots or Tarjay. I have several in school colors, but no insignia or print. Love this idea.
ReplyDeleteAdorable! Quite clever, Bevy!
ReplyDeleteYou are fabulous! I don't do t-shirts either :)
ReplyDeleteA cute and clever solution!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute idea! I am not much of a t-shirt person either.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! You may have hit upon a great sales item for the PTO - seriously, what mom wouldn't want that??
ReplyDeleteYou took me right back to my college days and shortly therafter when we had drawers stuffed full of t-shirts. Overflowing, because we wanted to commemorate the occasion, or in my case, the production. These days it's caps. Precious can't bring one into the house unless he takes one out. He will never take out my favorite: purple from Southern Proper with the black Lab on front.
ReplyDeleteThat is so pretty!
