Tuesday's Kitchen Inspirations

Every morning, this handsome guy rolls into the kitchen to grab his coffee.  That's why today, my husband is my Tuesday Kitchen Inspiration.  Yesterday was his birthday.  I won't tell you how old he is (except that he is two years older than me, and my birthday is in a few months...)!  And I also won't lie and tell you it was a wonderful day... we got into a little tiff for part of the day.  Yes, it was his fault.  But by around 4:00, everything was more than fine.  (This picture is on our way to dinner... which was divine, by the way!)

But why am I even bringing this up?  Because of how the above incident was rectified.  How he, my wonderful husband, fixed it.  He apologized.  He said, "I'm sorry.  I love you.  I hate that I made my bride upset."  I don't know many men who do that - first.  Who admit when they are wrong.  Who don't try to justify everything.  Who see that it sometimes is their fault.  Who are man enough to listen and take it all.

But I do know one man... and I do love you!

On another, completely different note, our store has been chosen to be Shopaholic in Alabama's "Shopaholic Giveaway Days" first giveaway!  She always has the inside scoop on good sales, great new shops around the country, and amazing finds.  And... I love reading about her wonderful DH!  What a cute couple they are!  Sweet Shopaholic has written quite a description of Tea Garden and all we have to offer.  Thank you, dahlin'!

Oh... what are we giving away?  Go to her blog and see!  (Hint:  If you are pink and GREEN, you'll Lilly LOVE it!)

  4. What a sweet, sweet husband you have. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to a dear man! Where did you go to dinner?

We all get in to little arguments, but it is nice to make up and especially when they apologize. :)

I hope you had a wonderful Easter in Columbia. We need to get together and chat more too. We were there too with my parents.

YAY for your shop! (Did you get a new button? It looks great) Did I ever tell you that I have shopped there before I knew you. You deserve to be such a top pick!

Hope you are enjoying spring break. Have a great day.

  5. Your DH is just the best! We all get into our little tiffs, the key is how we handle it. Like Bethany said, it takes a real man to admit when he was wrong. :-) Happy Belated b'day to him and thanks for mentioning the giveaway today! XOXO

  6. Happy B-day to your sweet husband. i simply love that you shared that you had a tiff and that he apologized. My hubby s a GREAT man but a lousy apologizer. You are indeed blessed.

I did not have a bathing suit on on the photo. I had white shorts and a Lily Tunic that is blue, green and yellow coral pattern. I got it last Spring at TJ Maxx! You will probably never see a photo of me in a bathing suit on my blog. I HATE wearing a bathing suit (although I wear them all summer).

  11. Many tiffs between my husband and myself could have been resolved real quick if he had just said (right then & there) "I'm sorry, I love you, I made a mistake!" :) So TRUE! By the way, I'm now SURE that I've been to your shop before! What a small world! Also, thank you sooooo much for your prayers for my friend Jan--we are obviously very concerned for her.

  17. What a dear man you have! It is clear that you have a friendship first and that is really special! You are very right that men have a hard time admitting fault! Why is that? Oh well, be happy to have that dear groom! Love it!
