Most of you know that the boys have been away for the past week. Yesterday, I picked them up at my mother's (they had been dropped off there... not really important enough reason why to explain!). As I got out of the car, Sumter ran out of the house, wrapped his arms around me, and surprised me with,
"Mama, why are you so pretty?"
Sumter with
his cousin whom he adores!
And when sweet husband came home from the Masters
this evening, he had a surprise for me too!
(This is the no lipstick look...)
So glad your boys are home safe! What a sweet comment from Sumter,.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet! My husband would be so jealous that your man went to the Masters-
ReplyDeleteAnd our cottage (you mentioned Lake MI-) nope! It is Lake Huron!!!
Good guess, though!
Bevy,
ReplyDeleteIt's funny that you say that about coming to SC. There just so happens to be a job in Aiken with the Energy Dept. that my husband is considering applying for. How's that for a small world?!?!?! I'll keep you posted. We just might be neighbors!
You are adorablE!
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT!! What a sweet boy (and husband too)...good thing you have the blog to always remember! Hope the boys had fun and you enjoyed the rest of your "honeymoon" week.
ReplyDeleteMike went yesterday!!?? Lucky Dog! And how appropriate that he got you the pink hat with the Mickelson win.
ReplyDeleteLoving the pink hat ~ anything and everything is better in pink ;) My husband would be so jealous ~ we watched all weekend ~ not as exciting as being in person.
ReplyDeleteJo
What a nice welcome home! You look great in the hat!
ReplyDeleteBless his heart, that is something for an almost 13 year old boy to say! And how sweet of Mike to think of you while watching the Masters. I am so happy that Phil won, we watched all weekend.

How sweet! I think Sumpter favors you. Love the pink Masters hat - I'm so jealous that your hubby went. I've always wanted to go. We watched it on TV this weekend and it was so moving to see Phil and his wife Amy.
ReplyDeleteAwww, how sweet! I just love the name Sumter!
ReplyDeleteThis is my first visit (popped over from Mama Magnolia) and I just love your blog!
Yeah for cute pink hats and sweet comments from your son! That makes for a golden day!
ReplyDeleteOh, and my apologies for spelling your son's name incorrectly! (Sorry, Sumter!)
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet little boy, that Sumter, what a doll, must have melted your heart. Loving your cute pink hat too!
ReplyDeleteCome on over, Bevy, I've got an award for you! XOXO
